History
As time goes by
Our family has been growing grapes for 6 generations in the Sancerre region, mainly within the famous commune of Bué, whose wines are known throughout the world.
My great grandfather, Irénée Salmon, and his sons established vineyards on Bué’s finest slopes. This legacy, passed on from father to son, encourages us to respect the terroir and growing methods in order to allow Nature to best express itself and lend our Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes all of the natural flavours and aromas typical of their special terroir.Today, we own 15 hectares of AOC Sancerre Blanc planted with Sauvignon Blanc grapes, 5 hectares of AOC Sancerre Rouge and Rosé planted with Pinot Noir, and 3.25 hectares of AOC Pouilly-Fumé planted with Sauvignon Blanc grapes in the commune of Pouilly-sur-Loire.
We put the very best of ourselves into the cultivation of these terroirs in our relentless quest for quality.Armand Salmon
